Sidney, Part II

This time they get croissants.

Making our way from Victoria we arrived just in time for marina checking, and after tidying the lines, plugging in the electricity and connecting the water, we went ashore for Di to discover the town.

With easy shopping within walking distance of the marina, we've probably found a good spot to hunker down for a while this winter before we set off again for the more Northern destinations.

The city is very pleasant, with good shops, restaurants and parks easily accessible. There are flowers everywhere at this period of the year, and walking the water front path is a very pleasant experience. The marina is beautiful and the staff helpful. They were adding hanging flower baskets on the docks as we left, a nice touch.

We spent 2 nights there, relaxing after Di's 2 long day trip from Puerto Rico and left on Sunday morning, just before marina check out time.

But before that, I made sure to hit the local bakery for their croissants, and filled the freezer with a good supply that will last us a while.

Next destination: Poet's Cove, South Pender Island.
