We arrived in Anacortes 10 minutes before check-in. Perfect timing as far as I am concerned. Cape Sante marina is one of our favorites in the area: It has everything we may need as live aboard cruisers. Excellent groceries, hardware store, car rental, pharmacies, ice cream, restaurants and so much more.
Let's not forget the large dog park.
The marina had our Fedex waiting for us, and within 10 minutes I had replaced the motor's brushes. Enfin is now 100% operational again.
We used the rest of the day to walk around the town, treat ourselves to a great BBQ, eat some good ice cream, and just do the touristy things.
Di took the occasion to grab some fresh groceries as well, so we continue to be fully stocked.
I caught up on internet and logistical stuff, in particular I was able to get a rental car for my upcoming trip to Seatac when going to France. Online reservations showed no available cars, but an in person visit solved that problem. A great result for me as I far prefer staying in my own "bubble" for as long as I can. We still have no idea what my immunity status is, so I'd rather continue to err on the side of caution.
We'll be back in Anacortes soon, on the 13th May to be exact. In the meantime we'll go back out to the Islands for some additional fun and to make some more wonderful memories.
Whatever happens during my medical checkup (and I am confident the news will be excellent!), these memories will have been banked and this life lived.
Hey guys, I'm sure your medical check up will be thumb's up and will be able to continue with your fun trips! Chris
