The reward!
At the head of the inlet is a National Park with a long dock (no power or potable water) on a donation basis. Maximum stay at the dock is 72 hours.
As we'd gone through Malibu Rapids a little early, we got lucky to have our pick of dockage, and under the kind supervision of the Park Ranger we chose the spot closest to the falls.
The pictures speak for themselves. The place is just stunningly beautiful and we decided to make the most of the 72 hours you're allowed to stay at the dock, and to take a mini vacation. It seems you can take a vacation from retirement!
The days went by fast, and we hesitated staying a little longer either at a mooring buoy in the park or at anchor, but life was calling us back to Pender Harbour.
